They look gorgeous, but they are simply too drying, which is why I give the Lip Lingerie range an honest 6/10. I definitely need my lipsticks to be a little more hydrating, and as much as I'd like to, I just can't see myself wearing these very often. However, if your lips dry out easily (like mine), you may want to avoid these as they can accentuate any cracks and dryness. If you enjoy nude, matte lipsticks, and want that iconic Kylie Jenner lip, the Lip Lingerie range will be perfect for you. The shades, the staying power, the quality are all absolutely wonderful, especially considering the low price. Overall, I'm glad that I finally decided to embrace the matte lip trend, and try out these lippies. The formula is exceptionally smooth and instead of drying to a tacky finish or dry-looking and -feeling matte, it leaves a unanimously velvety finish. + Fantastic staying power (up to ten hours) NYX Lip Lingerie in Ruffle Trim from My 10 Favorite Lipsticks These liquid lipsticks are a little bit more mousse-like than your typical liquid lipstick which goes on actually quite thin. On top of that, the staying power is amazing - the formula doesn't smudge and I didn't have to top it up at all, despite eating and drinking. With that in mind, NYX Professional Makeup has a candy-store assortment of cosmetics that are begging to be played with. It's a real shame because otherwise, I think that these lipsticks look beautiful - I even received a few compliments throughout the day when wearing one. While it can be seen as a lifesaver to cover up those blemishes and dark circles, it also has the uncanny ability to boost your self-confidence. Any cracks and dryness become accentuated, and that's despite exfoliating and applying lip balm first. My lips are already very dry, and these lipsticks did them no favours. The formula is very drying, and honestly I couldn't help but constantly lick my lips because of how uncomfortable it felt. Whilst I love how these lipsticks look on my lips, I don't really like how they feel (especially after a few hours of wear).

The formula is wonderfully pigmented and one layer is enough to give you full coverage. When applied, the lipstick feels very smooth and creamy at first, but it quickly dries up giving you a soft, matte finish. The applicator is a standard, 'doe foot' shaped brush - it's quite long and thin, which allows for a very precise application. Never again, would like to try the darker shades though.The packaging is simple and transparent, and I like that you can see the colour of the liquid inside. Would I repurchase NYX Butter Lipstick- Taffy? Darker shades in the range can be given a try.

I would recommend this shade to fair/medium skin tones with normal lips and those who does not have lip pigmentation. The shade does not suit every skin tones, very cool-toned that might wash out your face.ĭoes not have a great colour pay-off, so does not conceal lip pigmentation very well. It gives an uneven finish, if not given proper care, which is very time consuming. There is a tendency to clump together in certain areas of your lips, even after proper exfoliation. It highlights every dry patches on your lips and settles into lip lines, thus giving an uneven texture and to your lips.
